Get ready for some festival time!

Wait, but there isn't any holiday to celebrate, you say? Correct! Because in reality it's a large food and entertainment fair, made to look like a traditional festival.



- Eat all the food! Everyone dressed in kimono will get from 5%-15% discount on offered [be sure to check, many of the stands are privately owned, and as such might not be part of the promotion. Look for yellow DISCOUNT sign somewhere around the stand.

- There is an outdoor concert stage, be prepared to many events to happen there. From enka lives, traditional dance performance, to more modern type of entertainment, like super sentai show.

- Games, games everywhere of course!

- Don't be surprised if you are chosen to get photographed for our fair memento book.

- Near the small lake is official rest zone, for those weary of all the attractions. It's beautiful area to relax and enjoy some refreshments

- Grand fireworks display, will happen at approximately 9:00PM. The fireworks display will be visible throughout the Fairgrounds, there's no better place to watch!


IMPORTANT: In case of monster attack, please follow the evacuation routes and don't panic. Organization committe ensured presence of heroes on the fair.

I- I have perfect view. [ Genos almost stutters from surprise. ]

[ He starts recording with his phone and try not to think how suddenly close he is to Saitama. Setting the quality of image to best and zooming in as much as he can. Monkeys, being monkeys, they jump, throw things at each other, and make acrobatic figures. These here seem to be particularly audience inclined and act as true showmen.

No wonders they gathered such a crowd.

Too bad Genos is shining in the sun and attracting attention, because one of the monkeys decides it's great idea to throw a fruit peel at him ]

Ack! [ he wobbles a bit and starts to lose balance ]

[onepunching]

What're they doin'? [ He's on his tiptoes to try and get a view himself, but is startled by Genos' yelp. The fruit peel falls on his head right after and he almost drops Genos. The pair sway side to side and back to front for a while before Saitama gets a good grasp on Genos again. ]

Here I'm gonna put you down. [ He slowly squats low until Genos feet touch the ground and he lets him off. Saitama pulls the peel off his head and cringes when drips of fruit juice slide down his head and onto his shirt. So much for looking nice. ] Shit. Stupid monkeys. [ He flings the fruit peel back at the monkey exhibit and it lands with such a loud plop that the surrounding birds flutter away. ]

[ Genos slides right down on the ground and immediately attempts to clean Saitama head with handkerchief ] Please, don't move so much!

[ Otherwise you're making it harder to polish that scalp of yours, sensei! ]

[onepunching]

[ He stands still with a frown on his face as Genos cleans the juice off. He still feels like a mess though. ] It's fine let's just get outta here. [ He grabs Genos' hand again and weaves through the monkey crowd. By some miracle he spots an open bench under a shady tree. He motions towards it. ] Wanna sit and show me the video you took?

[ Genos fiddles with the phone and hands it to Saitama, ready to play the video. That didn't go according to plan. ] Here.

Should I get us some refreshments?

[onepunching]

Huh? No way, dude! I'm the one that asked you out, so I'm the one that's gonna be buying stuff for once. Not you.

[ He takes the phone the settles down on the bench. He pats the spot next to him for Genos to sit doe and begins playing the video. The monkeys are just as wild as he assumed they'd be with the huge crowd they drew in. He holds Genos' hand and rubs smalls circles on it with his thumb. Suddenly in the video he sees the monkey that lobbed the fruit peel. Its almost comical how the fruit peel flew at the camera and the sounds of their scambling could be heard. Saitama has to laugh at it and hands the phone over to Genos. ]

I dunno how you missed that coming at you, but it makes for a good video.

[ Genos lets out a small chuckle. He didn't realize his own mishap was caught on the camera as well. ]

I was focusing to get the best shot, as opposed to watching what was going on. My bad.

[ Experimentally he puts his head on Saitama shoulder. Now that they're sitting it's much easier to achieve. He really doesn't want Saitama to let go of his hand, the little touch so soothing, so he figures the best way to do it is to ground him in some other fashion.

And, elaborate plan aside, he just wanted to put his head on Saitama shoulder, that's all. ]

[onepunching]

Oh. [ He stiffens at first when Genos rests his head on his shoulder. Saitama can't remember if anyone was ever so comfortable with him, and it catches him off guard. After a few seconds he lets go of a breath he didn't realize he was holding and relaxes. How the hell could someone made out of metal be so damn cuddly at the same time.

They sit silently for a while, Saitama continuing to rub shapes on Genos' hand, until he remembers they're out at the zoo and not cuddling at home. He slowly unlaces their fingers and sits up straight. ]

Hey, let's keep goin'. If we don't make it to the llamas before the zoo closes you'll probably cry.

I won't cry! [ Genos protests, before he understands it's a joke. With a sigh he stands up. It was pleasant to just sit close like that, but he's not going to be disappointed by stopping it now. Because he can hope there will be more of that coming in the future. ]

But yes, I'd rather see them, now that I won't have suffocating episode around them.

[onepunching]

[ Saitama makes sure to hold Genos hand as they explore the various exhibits together to make up for interrupting the cuddling.

The rest of the exhibits go by rather uneventfully. (Thankfully) Although as expected, the butterflies loved Genos at the pavilion. At one point another couple seemed to recognize them Genos, but they were able to slip away.

The pair are nearing the petting zoo, but Saitama's appetite finally gets the better of him. Instead of having his grumbling scare the animals away, he'd rather stop for food now. The rest area itself is a large patio with umbrella tables and a small building with several lines you could order food at. It was almost exclusively junk food, but what wasn't these days? The tables themselves are filling up quickly with other zoo guests. ]

Hey, wanna get the table and I'll grab the food? [ Really he just doesn't want Genos around when he orders. ]

[ Genos looks at him for a moment, but stops himself from suggesting that he will pay. It's a pride thing, right. He's being careful about it before, he can continue doing so now. So he nods energetically and promises ]

I'll find us a best spot!

[ ...even if it means staring down and intimidating other couple. They noticed the silent table on side, shielded from sun and guests, and wanted to make run for it. Genos didn't let them, and now he's sitting proudly. Getting table was successful! ]

[onepunching]

[ Saitama takes far longer than he expected to. He returns to the table with a tray of food.

Standing in line he realized that the prices were far higher than he thought they would be. He wasn't about to go back to ask Genos to pay if his life depended on it. It wasn't until an older woman working at one of the lines motioned for him to come over after seeing him look totally dazed.

On the tray there were two trays fries, two sandwiches, and a cookie. Saitama, with the help of the kind employee, was able to cleverly split his orders. The two fries were actually one serving of fries split into two smaller baskets. The sandwiches were one large sandwich cut in half. And the cookie was a bonus when he told the woman he was trying to impress his date.

Saitama isn't about to let anything stop Genos from having a nice date. Even if he has to get creative about his spending. ]

Man, you wouldn't believe how long that line was. [ He sets the tray down and sits across from Genos. ]

I should have put a reserve on table and kept you company... [ it's the fries again, right. At least he knows now to eat only short and crispy ones. And that's what he does. ] Next time.

[ He takes the longer one next, but instead of eating it, he holds it playfully before Saitama's face. Can strongest man on earth be fished by a long fry? ]

These are delicious. You should try some.

[onepunching]

[ Saitama peers up from the sandwich he was unwrapping to look at Genos. He's dangling a particularly delicious looking fry in his direction. How did Genos even know what kind of fries he liked? The kid was too perfect. ]

Oh! I bet they are good. [ He leans over to take a bite. ]

[ This kid can be a stalking creep, and the only way he would get forgiven for it, was because of his cute look. That's how he knows about the fries. ]

I have few more like that, if you'd want them. [ Genos smirked, seeing his plan work surprisingly well ]

[onepunching]

[ Saitama nods furiously, one fry still sticking out of his mouth. He finally swallows it down. ]

Yeah! You don't like the long ones? Those are my favorites. [ He gets to work on the sandwich. ]

You eat up too.

[ He knows that, he knows... ]

I prefer short, crispy ones. [ There it goes, the "I have no likes or dislikes", it goes right off the window ] I think it means we can trade.

[ And for emphasis he noms on one of the shorter bits. ]

[onepunching]

[ Saitama can't help but smile at that. Even though they had their disagreements, it was always the little things like this that made him feel so comfortable and at home around Genos. That was far too embarrassing to bring up now, so he keeps quiet and arranges their fry trays next to each other for sharing. ]

Y'know this kinda reminds me of the trip we took to the aquarium.

[ Genos smiles to the memory ] I haven't tried to broke any of the cages...yet.

[ That would be a joke with anyone else. But it's Genos. He can't joke... or maybe he's learning? ]

It was a great day. And so is this one. I'm ...happy I can spend them with you like this. [ he hesitates a bit on usage of word "happy". He never expected to feel it again, not to mention he wasn't even sure if he was allowed to feel it. But that's the only word that describes his current feelings well. It's fleeting anyway, so better to catch it when it's still there. ]

[onepunching]

Mm. [ His mouth is full, which he's thankful for because he'd probably be smiling like an idiot if it wasn't. He swallows before speaking up. ] Me too, Genos. It's a lot of fun with you. Anythin' is. [ He feels himself about to get sappy and quickly changes the subject. All the time alone must have really made him sentimental now that someone is actually interested. ]

Actually, I'm surprised none of your fans have bothered us yet. [ He remembers the fans ruining their private aquarium trip. The zoo is in a fairly busy location in an upscale part of town. It seems like a prime location for them to get bombarded. ]

[ Genos straightened his back. He did notice a stray photo snap here and there, but among all those animals, it was hard to tell for sure they were aimed at them, instead of... say tigers ] I wouldn't pay attention to them either way.

You're the only one I have my eyes on.

[onepunching]

Ha. [ He partially covers his face and looks away. ] Shut up. You're so cheesy, man. [ His words are complaining, but the flush on his cheeks and the smile he's trying to hide say otherwise. ]

Hurry up and eat so we can catch the llamas.

We still have time. It's better to take chance to relax now.

[ Genos bites into the sandwich, while he segregates the fries into long ones and short ones. He also starts to placing the long ones into Saitama basket ]

[onepunching]

Wow. You're the one telling me to relax? Now I know this is a dream. [ He playfully kicks Genos underneath the table and grabs a few of the fries his date separated out for him. ]

Can't believe you know what kinda fries I like best. Is that what you keep in all those journals?

[ Welp. He can't let his stalking history slip now, that would be awkward. If not just plain creepy. ] I'm observant and diligent, but sometimes it's just pure luck of guess.

The zoo is massive, but we still have a lot of time left, I don't want you to feel pressured to run around it quickly. Dates are supposed to be fun, yes? [ Genos tilts his head a bit, but he's not really expecting answer. He wants to avoid rushing, even if it means they won't see everything. ]
